Smile honda xr 250 ?

will all 90's honda xr250r parts bolt up or do they change? i have a 1990 honda xr250r . will any other year engine bolt on with out a hasle ?(tranny too) just email me if rou know thanx.http://www.mototips.com/images/smilies/confused.gif

I am sure if you were to swap the same kind of engine / tranny you would have no hassle at all. But looking at different years you would need to find the years that are a very similar build for that bike. There may be some slight modifications that may need to be made.

The engine has been the same for a long time. They might have made some frame changes, but the engine/tranny should have no major changes.

with any engine swap of different displacements, know right off that u will being doing some mods no matter what. everything will not fit up. as far as will the 400 fit in the 250 frame, well yes and no. idk if the tabs or in the same spot, otherwise you will need to weld new ones up. if u can do all this, then yes i would assume u could make one of those fit up in the 250 frame.

Im pretty sure it can be done, Im not 100% sure but I think they were the same except for the 150cc diffrence.

it depends on how confident u are with your mechanical skills. anything can be done, it just depends on how far u want to take it.
