My ipod is going to be the source unit. Im doing this because i work at a car audio shop and it would just be cool to have something custom like this to show customers

how big of a system?

i think you would probably have to install a resistor before or after the rectifier

Its just either going to be (2) 3 way 6x9's -or-(2) 6 1/2" fusion 2-ways with a fusion 200 watt amp (25 amp max draw)

25 amps.... i don't think you will reach near that... i would say they only have about 1.5-4 amps of charging current

my bike only puts out about 35 watts

wait for tig and see what he has to say he might think of a way to do this

post some pictures after you get done

if you can get the bike to use just a little bit to charge the battery (turn off all of the other lights) you may be able to charge the battery, over a considerable amount of time. it would be best to use a large battery imo

you will still need a rectifier

Yea i think i will just stick to the large deep cycle battery

the only thing that sucks is the battery is soooo heavy. maybe ill look into getting a gel cell like a stinger or a kinetik
