cam chain tensioner problem

im puttin my 86 xr100r back together and i am having problems with the cam chain guide tensioner. the spring that is supposed to hook to the jug and the guide wont hook up. i cant get it rite. plz help

on my bike the spring for the tensioner hooks on to the tensioner brace
