88YZ250 is on a distinguished road
steering stem bearings

i took the old ones out and im in the process of putting nwew ons in. i got the bearings and seals. is there a special way they go in? which goes first the seal or bearing?

Wait, do you have needle bearings or just the roller bearing where it is a bunch of balls? Newer bikes have the the needle bearing style and I assume you do too. Did you replace races too? If so, then the races both get pressed into the neck first. Then on bottom triple clamp/steering stem assembly you will press a seal on then the bearing all the way down. Top bearing just sits in there and a seal goes on top.
