I was just stating a fact that I thought you would like to know. Nothing was implied. I do not think he has that seeing as I see cooler lines that don't go to the frame.

no hoses for me

i think i would go for metal lines seeing as you could put little aluminum fins all the way down and then you really wouldn't need the oil cooler itself

(maybe i will do this to my klx)

No hoses for me either!

The XR4's oil cooler lines are flared end, Stainless Steel tubes that run from the oil cooler it's self to the oil pump at the right front side of the motor.

The only exception are flex points on each line which are located at the base of the front down tube.

This allows for removal of the engines clutch side cover for service without tearing apart the cooler lines.

It's well thought out, the lines tuck in near the frame and stay out of the way. It's a non issue till side cover removal is needed and then you need a zip lock bag to catch cooler line oil.
