CRF 150F baffle question

My brother has a stock 06' CRF 150F and he recently took his baffle back out to give him some more noise and torque. But one of my friends said that it is really bad for the bike and it could blow up because of something about the compression or back pressure or something, is this true?

Not on a four stroke. It will be fine. Obviously the engine is running a bit leaner but to what extent I don't know. Pull the sparkplug. If it is light tan or darker you are safe. If it is white at all then let us know.

Can someone please tell me if there are differences between a Honda CRF250R and a CRF250F?

Or are they two names for the same bike?

nah the R means its like a race bike and the F means its more of a regular off road bike but I could be wrong, I just know that the R's usually have more racing parts on them.

Well, I don't think they make a CRF250F. They make an XR250. The bike that Honda makes is the CRF250R but many people don't know that and just call it the "F".

As far as jetting goes:

You are running way too lean. You need to richen it up a bit. If you keep running it lean then you can kill the engine!

Or you could start by moving the needle a couple of grooves. Probably will need a bigger idle jet too.
