Does anyone know if it could be harmfull to a honda crf230f if it is ran without the the baffel?

What would it do as far as change in compression?

plan on a rejet, if you dont your running lean which is harmful to your engine and most of the time you lose power along with it running shittier.

It will not be harmful to the bike but to the sport. Just make sure it isn't too loud and annoying at least if you are riding on public property.

Besides that, it won't cause any issues. You will lose a bit of the top end and theoretically gain some bottom. It is hard to be certain as to how the bike will react. Math says it should become a tad bit leaner but I doubt you will even be able to jet for such a minute change.

So if you are taking the baffle off yourself in hopes of more power then don't waste your time and if it is already off then you will be safe.

It is always suggested that a rejet be performed after any exhaust work has to done to get the most out of it. Manufacturer suggested jet sizes can be found on FMF's website and assuming you have no drastic temperature or elevation variations the settings will prove correct.

So yes, rejet. Otherwise you are wasting your money.
