He really took his time to do things right. Appreciate the detail that he went to on putting this together.

the point is how well it is done, inverted forks, its more aftermarket than stock.

True, but given all the upgrades (forks, shock, engine and mods, pegs, hand gaurds, pipe, oil cooler, sub frame, plastics, tank, tire, airbox/filter, levers, etc.) and the care taken to maintain reliability and increase performance, I figure it is probably worth it.

Besides, I could not find a CRF250X for under 4K and would still have maintenance concerns.

From what I gather about the seller, he maintains a high level of quality in his bikes and takes pride in them, I feel pretty comfortable that the bike is solid. It is hard to guage how well other sellers take care of their bikes. He poured his heart and soul into this project and has a detailed history of it. That adds a level of comfort to the purchase.

It is a little heavier than I would like, but given that I have not ridden in 3 years, a bike that is a little more forgiving is probably a good starter. I can always upgrade later if I outgrow the bike.

I only wonder if that could be put into a CRF frame. I also wonder how the CRF frame being wide bar aluminum is lighter and/or stronger than the steel frame of the XR.

its argued whether or not steel or aluminum is the best, but for a trail bike steel is good, besides if it ever cracks all you have to do is fire up the mig.

2004 or above. I wanted to be 3K or below and did not find anything close to that.
