Thread: 400ex project

I thought it would be wise to post a few shots of my 400ex buildup. The story behind this bike is that it started as a peice of crap, then I made it into an immaculate beefcake of a Honda Product. I'm considering doing some mild engine work, but I haven't found the combination that I actually want to go with. I'm set on a hotcams cam, but my reciprocating assembly needs attention. I'm sticking with the stock stroke now, but I was considering 1.) Wiseco 426 11.5:1 setup 2.) Dropping the head closer to the jug for a mild compression increase by simply throwing in a XR400 head gasket in there while I have the head off. 3.) Wiseco 11:1 415 piston, because I've heard the occasional JE horror story. Other than that, I just wanted to show off. <p>
