| Administrator | so say you put a new set of rings in and hone and now its time for break-in. how does heat cycling help with those rings and the seating of them and the seal of them. does it temper the metal? if so, why wouldnt they do that before? if it expands the metal when hot, how does it make a difference because the cylinder walls also expand. and my cylinder is full aluminum. so how would the expansion of the rings and the cylinder help break-in? thanks in advance for the info.
