no, the number is just how big the hole on the jet is, you have to switch the jets out, if you get a jet kit it will have like 6 main jets in it, all of these have numbers on them that indicate the size of the jet

ohhh okay it all makes soo much sence now,but if i were to adjust the settings on a stock bike without a jet kit how would that work if the dealer doesnt give u extra jets?

You buy individually sized jets which is much more cost effective than a jet kit. They sell these jets at the dealer. However, a jet kit will be good for you because you may not get it first try.

does the kit come with like for example 3 different sizes for the main jet? and also for the pipe and air filter would i just be adjusting my main jet or also my pilot or any other jet?

For a pipe and filter you pretty much should touch every setting you have. This involves the main jet, the pilot jet, and the clip on the needle, along with fuel or air screw. However, you are supposed to first get the main jet dialed in and then touch everything else. This sometimes causes you to need to readjust the main jet. All the jets influence each other.
