ya, im gonna stop trying to tell you guys real facts now. you can get a used exhaust for like $300 and you can get a new cam for what, $120? exhaust lets say is 5hp and cam is gonna give you 2hp. so, for your dollar to hp ratio it is almost the same. however, with a cam you are going to lose hp somewhere, its not magic. when you change valve timing and lift you cant just gain hp everywhere. however with an exhaust you are changing flow characteristics and just plain opening the exhaust flow up more.

and stock exhaust isnt bad, they are pretty free flowing, why do you think people with wr's snag up stock yzf cans on ebay and call it better than any thing from fmf or the sort?

im not arguing with you tig, just if you want something and you dont have alot of money then cams are pretty good. but if you have the money a exhaust is a awesome buy and can really open up the modifications that are on the bike already.

just something to ponder, on my wr I was running without a baffle, I recently put a aftermarket baffle in it, guess what? its still just as fast, very little if any power loss, and its quieter.

yea, i think a big 4 stroke sounds better when it is deep and growly not really screaming like a 2 stroke, buts its not really tay much obstruction with the baffle in really
