| Pro Mototips Member | lulz, but you say that the fliud is leaking by the fork? does the fluid level in the res. get low? or are your forls leaking? check the fork on the caliper side and see if there is fork oil on the tube of the fork, the oil could have gotten on your pads and ruined them, this will generate anti-lulz, because you need new fork seals. but tell me if the brake fluid level drops so i can really get into detail with it

| Administrator | So do you always find yourself topping off the brake fluid? I would hit up the caliper with some contact cleaner and then zip-tye the lever down and watch for where the leak comes from. Usually those crush washers just don't go bad. Unless someone took them off before. Most likely it is the seal on the piston. Also, with you running synthetic, I would run 50:1. It is completely fine for everyday use, it causes no troubles or wear issues. You will be fine. However, the bike may have been jetted for a different mixture. I know, lots of factors. Your picture didn't show by the way, I tried to fix it but I have no idea what the link is.

| Pro Mototips Member | welcome again and if its when you tie your bike down in the truck that sounds like fork seals to me. dirtshark also makes good tires and they are pretty cheap too.

| Administrator | Whoops... I misread that. I thought he was tying down his brake lever. You know, the old trick for firmer brakes. Ya, if the forks are compressed and leaking then it is the fork seals no doubt. Inspect everything though because there can be other underlying problems. http://www.mototips.com/how-s-perfor...aky-forks.html

| Administrator | When tying down your bike make sure to use a 4x4 in between the tire and the fender and you wont be putting so much pressure on those forks ![]()

| Administrator | Think about what the tire already goes through.
