i know, but we dont know exactly how its running, the fact that running rich will make it run worse as opposed to running lean cannot be put into play due to the fact that we dont know that its running as bad as possible.

okay
bogging=too much fuel can dirty up a plug
no power=again, too much fuel that the engine cant burn efficently
but since he said it started after he rebuilt it Im thinking the piston pin might not be in right or the rings are lined up with the gap exactly the same which would cause a loss in compression.

basically do this, go and pull off your spark plug, what color is the end of it? if its tan your fine, white, your running lean, black, rich. from there you will know how your bike needs to be jetted, so go do that real quick if you can

theres no reason you should need to run anything other than regular pump gas. a 125 does not have compression that requires a higher octane.

alright,
i never said running rich cant cause his engine to bog, i simply asked him if it backfired so we can know wether its running rich or lean.
