if it backfires its running lean or its something in the electrical, but if it backfires because of being lean it would run better than normal.
engine builders jet to make it run a little lean for better power.

idk about that wr, gscx told me lean engines can bog, then i learned firsthand he was right, remember that yzf450 i showed you? it had an exhaust and a bunch of other stuff and had never been jetted, it was running leaner than a bitch, and it bogs and is extremely irresponsive, so i asked if it backfired because if it is running lean, it can be suffering performance and power delivery wise

if its too lean yes, but a bike will run a bit faster when its jetted a tad leaner than its supposed too, a little something I learned from reading posts by a dude named Ron Hamp, he built a few of the engines that you see in professional supercross.

yeah, of course, but im assuming the scenario has made the bike to be too lean, not just a tad

running too rich will cause worse running conditions than running lean will, running lean will cause damage to an engine, especially on a 2stroke.

well something ive learned that if something starts happening after you took it apart you probably caused it, go back in and check the cylinder for scaring.
