01 kx250 need a lil assistance!

well i bought a brand new cylinder for it, piston and rings too of coarse.. and i had to pull everything outta the old cylinder which was a pain, put it all back together using a manual for reference and heres my prob..

loud knocing cant tell if its from the cylinder or what so i pulled the cylinder back of and there are some fairly deep scrathes in the piston and a tiny chip outta it got..

this knocking sound is pretty loud sounds like something is hitting in there any ideas guys ??

the rod bearings are out and its letting the piston hit the head. you need to buy rebuild the whole engine. sorry.

could be piston slap, is the piston right for the bore?

You really need to mic the bore. If it is out of round you can get the piston slap turtle is talking about.
