Send a message via AIM to tigmaster
Use the paper filter oil before you would use motor oil. Make sure you clean the filter super good with kerosene. If you don't have any then gas works but don't get in the habit of always using gas because it will destroy a filter over time.

if i just spray the balls off of it with paper filter oil, will it keep the dirt out?

No, just spray it decently on the outside and inside and then squeeze it into the filter. It will be fine for now.

so am i letting a bunch of dirt in like this? i just spent 30 minutes earlier taking all the plastics off and cleaning them real good.
