noob question!!

ok so i dont know a whole lot about dirt bikes so heres my question. just got my fmf pipe in put it on and when i was mounting the bracket that supports the mid-pipe, i came accross the instruction that says to pinch together the tabs on the bracket and install the supplied bolt and aluminum spacer between the subframe and bracket, i thaught wut the hell is the subframe, now i thaught the sub-frame was just underneith the fender so i thaught the spacer should be on the inside underneith the fender but it wouldnt work so i out it on the outside of the fender. if u dont understand wut im asking just tell me where the subframe is.

ok so when they say place the spacer between subframe and bracket would they mean to put the spacer inside underneith the fender and in between the left side of bracket and the fender mount? so it'd be like

|bracket| spacer|mount|bracket|bolt?

i would think that it would mean to take both sides of the bracket and put the spacer between the frame and bracket

bracket|bracket|spacer|frame(mount)

ok that does seem right except on that bolt, the threads only go half way and then if its set up like that theres nothing on the left side of the bracket to hold it there, like a nut cant do it because that bolts threads arent long enough to go farther, the spacer takes up the entire space of threads.

Make sure it's clearing everthing and don't use the spacer, maybe a washer if it hits plastic.

It should bolt up in the same spot as the stock one. Really, spacers are not important because they are only there to help the pipe clear the tire if it is a 4 stroke. If it is a 2 stroke, they matter a bit more. Just arrange them until the pipe and expansion chamber line up best. If it is a 4 stroke, loosen the header before doing all this, just slightly.
