![]() | Top End Rebuild??? Since season is over I want to rebuild my top end. Does anyone have any input on what pistons, rings, and such to use. Anybody done this before an have some input on what I should replace in there? Thanks. Oh I have an 06 CRF250. Also while I'm in there any secrets on how to produce more power would be good. Basically how do I rebuild the top end and how can I make more power with out sacrificing torque. I ride at glamis often and I neeeed that. |

| Pro Mototips Member | wow, that was an awfully short season for you, its only halfway over. get a pro circuit high comp piston and replace the valves, get a reputable brand. you can go with stainless if you want less maint., or you can use ti valves if you want it to rev quicker, unless you are a A rider you probly wont notice it, so i would go with the stainless ones, they are cheaper also and they will last longer and require less adjustments. you should also get stronger springs if you get stainless valves so you wont float them at high rpm since the rev limiter is set up for ti valves. and while the head i off you can port and polish it, you can send it off or do it yourself, sending it off cost money but you will see alot better results with that.
