back pressure
how many psi should an exhaust run?

i know that it should be as low as possible to get the most flow though the engine but how many would be to many?

my bike is running some where about 2 psi at half throttle if i remember correct
i will measure it again tonight....

sticking a low pressure gage in one of the holes...

not completely closing the exhaust off but plugging a 1/4" hole with a gauge

ok so its running 1-2psi at idle 2-4psi at mid and 4-6psi at full throttle


thats a lot of pressure isn't it?

thats pretty good
a 2 stroke would have more back pressure and the higher the compression, higher PSI.
i bet a new 450 would hit 10 PSI

i find that hard to believe....

10 psi is a crap load i would think

its making my bike run way rich right now, the pilot jet is turned all of the way in (closing it off) and its still running black plug
if i turn it out any it won't run
