ok, so dont clean your air filter in gas, it will disintegrate the glue that is hold it togeter, use soap if you dont have anything better, or at least kerosene, but dont leave it on ther for any amount of time. and you should get a new one, and you might not have to rejet it, it depends

cleaning it once with gas is ok. even tigmaster did when he first got his. his filter has never been cleaned before, so im sure gas is one of the few things that would get that shit-ton of dirt out

if you want a cheap way too clean airfilters that will last along time, go to home depot, buy a 5 gallon bucket and a lid, fill the 5 gallon bucket with mineral spirits and you are golden for a long time.
