wat else do they protect, i know jthompson said that they help with getting run over, but is there any one thing they are meant to protect, yes i kno it say chest but wat is there to break. ribs are of no concern to me, i wish i would have broken a few of those instead so i could be out riding right now.

They will protect smaller injuries as well. Even going over your bars they will protect you from the bars. Most good ones will protect the shoulders pretty well alos. They will protect you from large rocks or debris from someone's roost. If you fall and hit your own bike they will protect you as well.

well, i swear that my clavicle is already healing. i am able to do things that i couldnt do. i can now drive with my left arm also, before i couldnt even get it to the wheel. i can even get my wallet out of my pocket, i couldnt do that either. i have been going for lots of streches too because i hear that if u dont u can lose range of motion in your shoulder.

Tig here is what you have to do...
Step 1: Please since I want my moderators to be safe buy a chest protector .
Step 2: Dont rush the healing it will only hurt you in the long run
Step 3: Relax

i am not going to rush the healing, i too want to be safe and healed properly. sometimes i just dont appear that way. and thanks to all the super helpful responses of everyone i am going to check out some chest protectors, once i can move my arm enough to put one on. that way i will have it ready first ride. as far as relaxation, well this picture is as close as i can get to relaxing. thats me on the quad and jimmyhoffa on the tv with the fruity looking gloves on. notice the sparks coming from a tv????? also i normally wear a helmet, but we were going like 10mph on a private road. i swear i am really being careful, but i was told to try and use it because the pain has nothing to do with how fast the bone heals. in other words, if i feel pain that doesnt mean i am hurting it more. i was also given a set of excercises and stretches to do and after doing them i really notice the difference in movement. i will be careful.

so this thread turned into a discussion about my collar bone, but i thought i would swing it back towards my bike. so after 4 weeks of not riding, my bike had dust on it (tear) ya it was sad. so i took her out for a spin on the street. ya it still had lots of power. changed the break-in oil and ran a magnet through it, only to discover no metal shavings in it. also let the oil settle for a while and scooped up some of the oil from the bottom of the pan and checked it for any clutch. nothing, just clean oil. i am satisfied with the Maxima semi-syn blend and i found no leaks. the bike seems to be nice and solid and i guess i put all the bolts in the right holes lol. as far as the clavicle, brace comes off at the end of this week and i already have full mobility with almost no pain. i got a little pain when i was picking my dirt bike up to turn it around but it is more in the shoulder and back because i pulled a muscle in my back when i fell also. the shoulder pain is just because i am returning to using it after it being imobile-ish for the past couple of weeks. really the only pain i feel in the collar bone is a direct hit to the broken part of the bone.

so, i headed down to St. Joes State Park with the rmz250. headed out to the drag strip and tore apart every single quad i raced. nothing stood a chance and my engine is still lacking power. it was running super lean so i jumped up and few steps only to notice nothing so and intake cam is on the way soon. i had to seriously short shift to beat them but i did. on the list of destroyed quads were a yfz450, a 450r and a banshee. the yfz450 was staying close behind but with a cam i will have him with no prob. also random other stuff but i perfected the, get off your bike and make it do donuts around you. i have weird suspension problems. i get a weird side-to-side hop of the rear end when doing over 60ish. idk wat it is, sag is set perfect and suspension and rebound settings are dialed in. i think im just gonna call procircuit or rg3 and ask wats up.
