| Administrator | so, rode my bike for the first time today. sure has a lot of power. however, one tricky factor, i managaed to break my collar bone. i was doing about 50mph towards a turn and started to brake for it. at about 40mph my front tire started to slide on some wet grass and then found itself a nice patch of grippy soil and it locked up and threw me over the bars. i flew through the air at about 40mph and landed with a full body hit on my shoulder. i remeber getting up, checking out my bike and turning it off and then i layed for a long time and waited for jimmyhoffa to roll back. i then layed on the ground for another 10 minutes and was like um i think i broke my collar bone. we then went to the local illinois hospital and finally located the emergency room. in the triage room i got one of the questions wrong and they made me wait for like 2 hours because i said the pain wasnt that bad. no one actually believed me that i actually broke anything because i was laughing the entire time. also during my hospital visit i had my riding gear on, including boots and everyone was looking at me like, o another dirt biker. ya so now im out 5 or 6 weeks. ill just call it good after 4 yup

| Administrator | so i tried to scan an x-ray but it didnt work out too well. it is a close up of my collar bone. in the picture that used to be one bone that went straight across and now it is splintered up. you could feel the dip and point in my shoulder.

| A Rider | That sucks dude. Go easy on it and make sure you do the physical therapy. I seperated my shoulder on some dirt jumps my bike (bicycle). I was able to cut the recovery down but I did my therapy constantly. I broke my collar bone when I was a kid - hated wearing that "bra" type brace for weeks. |
