New...

Ok, I have had a dirt bike and have been riding for a long time, but I know pretty much nothing about them. I currently have a Honda 100XR, but it's getting a little tiny so I'm thinking about getting a new bike. (I'm only 14 so it would take forever to save up though) If I got a new bike it would probably be a honda cr80 or something like that. Now, back to the ?. I would like to know some cheap upgrades to help the performance. For example one of my friends told me to get a hotter glow plug and that would help and just stuff like that. Keep in mind that I don't have a bunch of money. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!!!

well, good to have u here. first off most dirt bike engines run on gasoline so glowplugs do not exist in them, but buying a hotter sparkplug will bring you nothing but trouble in an overheated engine. also with as old as you are, i would suggest getting a 125 or 250f. when u sit on a bike your feet should just touch the ground. i will think of a few mods for your xr100 and let u kno.

Ok. Thank you A bunch! I will start looking into those bikes. How much do you think they would cost for about a 02 model or which model would you suggest?

'02s are gonna be a bit pricey but worth it. a 125 2 stroke will be about $1500 or less and a 4 stroke 250 will be around $2000.

I found my bike on Cycle Trader. You can go online and search in your area for what you want. I found my 98 YZ400 for just $1800.

Ok, THANK YOU! I was going to get a pipe for my old bike (the xr100) and one of my friends said that he had a fmf racing pipe that he could sell me. Does it have to be a certaing pipe or will any of them fit? Again...Thanks!

ya, it has to fit up to your bike besides that a 4 stroke will deal with watever pipe. however 2 strokes require the pipe specifically designed for the engine.
