| Administrator | ya i would suggest running watever "premium" grade is available. the gas is "cleaner" if u want to say and is a higher octane, more fitting for your bike.

| Super Moderator | ya, they made it to run on 91, running anything higher isnt really gonna give you much, now if you change the compression then you may need to run higher.

| Administrator | ya, just run premium and u will be fine, u dont need any higher. i run 93 with a 13.5:1 with no knocking at all.

| Administrator | octane is confusing to some people so let me clear things up. the reason for having an octane rating is to prevent premature ignition. now say yur bike is designed to run on 93 and your like im gonna run 115 because higher octane must be more performance. well u actually start to loose power due to the more effort exerted to try and ignite fuel designed to be ignited at a temperature that barely reachable for your engine. ya. so if u dont hear knocking, u dont need a higher octane rating because u arent going to gain some random performance. and for all u people that are out there saying o, i used 112 and could feel the diff, no, dyno charts show that a gain of 1 hp on dirt bikes is average. just throwing out some random facts.
