works of platnuim pipe

so i figured i want a pc pipe. just dont know if i should go works or plat. any pros cons of each or are the same pipe with a diff coating?

they are both the same pipe but the works doesnt have any plating. i have the platinum pipe and i dont have any problems, not a bit of rust, with regular cleanings of course. but the works pipe doesnt have any plating so you have to oil it and clean it all the time. but if you get a exhaust you should stay away from pc. they way they weld the bracket on is weak. itll break after about a year, mine just did. FMF is prob a better choice for exhaust.

ok, so with the platinum pipe, they are not coated with platinum. this is just the series. they are most likely just chrome/nickel plated or else your pipe would be worth $100000. i like the works pipe personally but you really have to stay up on maintenance, oiling it and all or it turns to crap. i had a platinum series pipe on my old rm80 and i liked the looks, but you do realize that since it is just plated, if you rub off the top layer you will expose bare steel which can rust.

its nickel plated, and it will come off if you wreck hard enough, but after awhile the plating will lose its luster and it starts to look dull, no matter how much cleaning you do to it
