im more afraid of falling off and getting run over than hitting my head. sure they help, but im you are just riding around doing 5ft jumps in an open field with no people, you can take a risk once in awhile. btw gscx, i do it all the time, the only time i do wear one is when my mom is home because if i dont, im in alot of trouble.
