yeah TJ if that guy was as stubborn as you then he would probably have been paralyzed or even dead bro. you really shouldnt pass on safety you never know what the hell is going to happen and when you crash you might just regret it afterwards.

I have not ever heard anything about chemical injected helmets. Maybe you have a fancy model WR. My dirt bike helmet is a Vega and street bike helmet is Joe Rocket. Never read anything on those about replacing them once a year. In a crash, even at low speeds (0-30mph) the foam in the helmet can be completely compacted therefore no longer able to absorb an impact.

Also, like I was saying in another thread. Most crashes where wearing/not wearing a helmet determines if you live or not is low speed crashes (0-30mph). Unfortunately with high speed crashes a helmet usually doesn't matter because other parts of your body also sustain fatal injuries.

Point is, even you are just rolling around the yard, you have the chance to die or be paralyzed so why even take that chance? You can give no justifiable reason why it would be ok to take that chance. You could say, well I don't have the money for a helmet. If you cant even afford a helmet then you shouldn't be ridding. Get a helmet and put it on every time you ride! This goes for everyone!
