No, it is just because of the amount of wind on you as speed increases. My F4I does exactly 71mph but its limiter is at 14250 where the 600rr has a limiter of like 15000 I believe, but could be wrong. Gearing starts getting less steeper as it increases. My math which has proven accurate all the way up to 5th gear so far is this:

1st: 71
2nd: 97
3rd: 122
4th: 141
5th: 158
6th: 171

I didn't figure these speeds based on a rev limiter of 14250. What I actually did was find out what speed I was going in 1st when I hit the rev limiter which was exactly 71. Then I was able to derive a number very close to 14250, not sure what it was but I didn't know the rev limiter was 142500 so I used my random number. However, it proves to have a 0% error at the moment. I WAS IN 5TH GEAR AND HIT THE REV LIMITER AT EXACTLY 158MPH. So I would say my math is good and the bike should top out at 171. I truly believe it will get there if I have enough time.
