  | um, what size is just what fits you. a good pair of boots are tech 8's. gloves, doesnt matter, theyre all the same, just get what looks good. chest protector, i have no idea.

| This is kind of sneeky, go to the local bike shop try it on than buy it online. Unless you are going to spend more money there, you can get the place to know you and maybe cut you a break. Roost /chest protector can come in differant sizes, I like the ones that come down over the arms for more protection. Good Luck!!!

| Yes go try things on first. There are lots of different brands of boots that are great. Also chest protectors are the same way. Once you find what you like you can buy your items online  . Or you can support local business. That is 100% up to you
