![]() | dirt bike sizing hey guys, i am 15, 5'8 and 200 lbs. I was trying to get a 125cc bike, but people on craigslist want to trade me their 250 bikes, specifically cr's and yz's and a ktm. would i fit on a ktm 250, yz 250, cr 250, kx 250, or a rm 250? i thought no, but possibly yes. i am an experienced trail rider, never race.. i was thinking a 250 might fit me. so the question is: Will i fit on a 250cc dirt bike? |

| Administrator | I think it would just fine. It would have been the bike I would have recommended from your stats. You will have lots of power. Do you plan on trail riding mostly? Four strokes usually provide a better trail bike but its no big deal either way. I would say get the 250 either way. You will be happy with the power and size. Seat height is the same and weight is only 15lbs different on average.

| Administrator | Most 250's are the same as 125's. Go sit on some more and take a look at seat heights. They are listed on the manufacturer's websites.

![]() | What are the trails like? Previous bikes? You should be able to fit on any bike 125's, 250f's, 250's, and 450f's are all the same height pretty much i sat on the lowest and highest bikes and there didnt seem like there was much difference. If you could find a 4-stroke i think it would be better for intermediate/advanced trails. But you say your experienced so you probably could handle a 250. | Pro Mototips Member | if you just want to ride trails you should try to find a ktm 300 MXC, amazing bike, but not for motocross, the power delivery is great, really smooth and tractable, gearing is a little short but if you are riding tight trails thats a good thing, reliable and easy to work on too
