| Pro Mototips Member | well a stator could cost around 200 dollars, i dont think it could be a stator cuz i dont see how they could mess up, all they are is a piece of metal in a circular shape lol. the coil could mess up, or maybe the CDI, there are some wires that run from the thing to the coil, lol, if you take it apart youll know what i mean, or better yet look at a parts diagram on bike bandit

| Pro Mototips Member | the only real way for a stator to go bad is if the coating on the wire melt and short it out or if it broke to check you have to find the specs for the stator and take a ohm meeter to it

| Pro Mototips Member | it wont be much cheaper, and you cant short out a stator, all it is is a magnent that spins and generates a current, even if it cracked as long as it wasnt a clean break all the way through it would still make the bike run
