![]() | Hi from AZ New to the forum Just bought a 2000 KX 250 for myself and a klx110 for my 8 year old son. It is my first newer bike, I collect and restore old bikes currently working on a 1972 Yamaha DT250. My backround is in Helicopter maintenance(Pilot/Mechanic) and many years as a maintenance Instructor. Im going to be writing a series of articles on rebuilding as I restore my latest bike and would love to share it all with you. Also if there is anything that you would like to see performed I can do a write up or maybe even a short video. ![]() |

| Administrator | Very nice. I would suggest posting them here. Mods & Performance Forum - Mototips However, if they are how-tos then here will work. How-To's & Performance forum - Mototips Good to have you here. What kind of content are we going to expect from you?

![]() | Well Thank you for the warm welcome. At one stage in my career I wrote technical publications, so Instructions and how to's are what I like to write. I also like to use alot of pictures versus line drawings, powerpoint presentations and videos. I am going to set up a website where I can post for all to see without using up a lot of forum space, but for now I will post where directed to. On my current project I already have it torn down. I want to do a piece on rebuilding forks, engine seal replacement, servicing wheel bearings and brakes, clutch replacement etc. as I reassemble the bike I will take pictures and write the information. I have a few spare engines that need rebuilding so I can eventually cover teardown and reassembly of those. Hopefully I can be helpful. |

![]() | Thanks all. Yes Turbine powered helicopters are what I work on/Fly. Im looking forward to getting some material out there for all to see. I have to go to Mexico next week on business but as soon as I return I will get right to it. I want to do something for everyone from the proper way to clan and oil an air filter up to transmission/engine rebuilds. While I am by no means an expert I am willing to add what I can to the community.
