![]() | Dirt Bike Size Okay so i am getting a bike i have already had experience on a PW80 but ive out grown it quiet abit. I'm 5' 7" and i weigh 120lbs But there is a guy selling a 1990 RM125 for cheap and i want to buy it and another guy is selling a 1989 YZ125. The distance between my feet and my waist is 33inches about 34inches with boots on and im still growing. What do you recommend i get i was thinking of a CRF150/CRF230 but i really dont have any more than $1000 to spend(The RM and YZ are under $1000). Could i get some advice , Thanks. ![]() | I'm 16 years old and turning 17 this summer ive been riding for a few years i would say im a novice only 25-30hours of experience i assume mostly trail riding. Like i said before i was thinking of a 125-150cc 4 stroke off-road bike but there arent that many where i live that are cheap or need fixed mostly everyone around here is selling racing 2-4strokes bikes. ![]() | If i do get a 125 4 should i get the one with bigger wheels? There is the 5 main dealers right near where i live so it wouldnt be a problem just sitting on a few bikes. However i would like to be comfortable standing up while jumping and riding trails(ones around here are rocky) and the bike to have some power too. Last edited by 2troke; 05-26-2008 at 04:29 PM. |

| Pro Mototips Member | larger wheel help a little with rolling over things and give you slightly more ground clearance

![]() | One more question do you think i could touch the ground on a 125 2stroke? My dad has a 125 and when he bought it, it came with tons of custom mods everything except the plastics have been changed. I'm not sure if the rims and tires are bigger than a stock 125 but the seat height must be like 40inches my dad says he can barely even touch the ground and i havent seen or sat on another 125 to compare them. Also when the bike is standing up my feet are 1-2 inches off the ground. The only reason i ask is because i need to do a Senior Project also and i found 2 bikes which needs fixing and they are both 125s like a stated before and my dad was thinking i could kill two birds with one stone as the saying goes. I also found a TTR 125 like you stated above which is going for cheap but it doesnt need fixed. Last edited by 2troke; 05-26-2008 at 05:37 PM. |
