uh oh, i'm the new guy and am already witnessing my first argument, lol
hopefully it was inconsequential.

i'm a guy who has owned a yamaha yz125k for 15 years, have only ridden it twice.
the day i bought it, and again saturday after getting my float tig welded after all thee years.

though my screen name is mad, i am not(well.....some of the time.
the letters make up my business name MEND-A-DENT

i'm joining here hoping to get a little help, getting my old yz up and running.

btw, years ago in high school, i had a bultaco.

i've always liked my yz even though my wife has been after me to junk it all these years.
i guess she never believed me when i said one day i'm going to find a carb and get it fixed, lol
i didn't actively search, but once the internet came along every couple years or so i'd search, and everytime i found one it would just been sold.

any way, i finally took it apart again after all these years, so the clean bring on the float arm, and said again, "surely, somebody can fix this."

well, the guy gave no promises because of the "pot metal" in most these carbs.
but sure enough, it's repaired.

so, now it's on to fine tuning her, getting a little experience, and either keep fixing her up, or keep her for sentimental reasons, and move to something newer.

yeah, with the internet i can guarantee you can find any part for any bike. or at least if you cant, we can. im not sure about the pot metal though, they should be aluminum
