Cool Whats up

Hey guys, I'm new to riding. When i was around the age of 8y/o my parents bought me a PW80 Automatic LOL! And i haven't rid since. And now that i want to ride a sport bike everyone i know that rides is suggesting me to ride dirt for right now. So I really have no idea where to start, on getting a bike. I'm 17 now. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: On a side note i want to do motorcycle repair when i get older .. All types of bikes so if anyone knows where i can start learning! Thanks

well may I suggest either the wr250f or crf250x, they are mx bikes modified into trail bikes, but once you get to riding mx you can set them up for mx.

OH and i will be paying monthly for a new bike, since at minimum wage itll take forever to save up for a used. so as long as its not a huge monthly fee.

what is the biggest you have ridden so far just the pw80¿
do you have a brand that you would like to stick to
and do you prefer 2 or 4 strokes? if you are riding on hilly trails i would get a 4stroke

btw hello how are you

Lol the pw80 is the biggest thing ive rode consistently, Ive rode a 200 and im going to ride it next week a little that my uncle owns. Ive looked around, and i like ktm.. keep in mind i have no idea what makes a good bike. And i also don't know anything about 4stroke or 2stroke to make that decision. But yeah i like KTM and yamaha.

Just looking at ktms makes me like them alot lol

KTM builds a good bike, have you considered a kdx200/220?
