A great site

I am mother of 3 kids. Two of them love to race dirt bikes. My son is 13 years old, and he races a 2000 KX80. My daughter is 11 years old, and she races a sunl 2008 125cc. We have just got into racing, but we all love it. My husband and I love working on the bikes, and then watching the kids race them. My sons last race he didn't land a jump and wrecked, and it broke both of his legs. So he is laid up for awhile. He can't wait to get back on his bike, and race again. Alot of people think that I am a bad parent because I am going to let him ride again. I am not going to stop my son from doing what he loves the most.

I joined this forum to try to learn a little more about dirt biking. I have already learned a lot. There are some really great people on this site. They are really smart, and know a lot about dirt biking. Thanks for letting me be a part of such a great place.

Welcome "MOTO MOM", you rock! "F" what other say about you letting him ride again, if it is what he wants, let him do it. I am a father of 5 and let my kids do what they want.....with in reason, no crack, pot, 8 balls, ect....lol. A family that races together.....It is a lot of fun and cant wait for my 5 year old to get his crf50 so we can ride together. Rock it out "mom"!!

Well, NO mom wants to see their kid hurt....it's not like she (they) are shoving us into oncoming traffic, we make our own dissections, and they support us in their own way. Whether it is standing next to us at the drop gate scrubbing the traction plate with a broom, from the stands waving and screaming your name as you pass by, or from home silently hopping for you to come home safe. Sometimes she may only suggest that you leave your muddy boots outside, but still washes your jersey and pants. They really want us to be happy and to be the best we can be at whatever we try to do. Just know that no matter what we do…..mom will ALWAYS love us….no matter how much we may piss them off from time to time, or how old we are. No, it’s true, we can’t all have a mom as cool or involved as “chracing” is in her children lives, but that is what makes her so cool anyway. Now,wipe away the tear and go call your mom and tell her “thank you” for everything she DOES do……….HAHAHAHA YEAH, RIGHT!!
