sounds like there is hope for me yet. I'm still in the market, would any other bike suit my needs better? I'm throwing a paddle on what ever I get. Then carving an inch out of the seat, anybody try this?

yes so if you lose space either way, take advantage of the full stroke of the shock. this will provide softer hits because the shock will have more travel. the lower link piece is the best way and will give great results. like i said proportional is how it rolls. therefore the bike handles the same as before but if you cut the shock shaft off you will lose the dampening force.

the seat carve is a great method for lowering it. if you can get enough out to touch this would be better. also, remember you want to just be tip toed on the ground with any bike. also, if you plan to do sand riding, stick to the 450 because in sand you need all the power you can get.
