Tough it might an entirely new season of dirt bike racing, but the mindsets of the top GEICO Honda riders are the same moving into the next motorcycle racing extravaganza this summer. After a successful indoor event of supercross series, the team headed towards the most hyped and anticipated outdoor motocross racing series. The 2012 Hangtown Motocross Classic is scheduled to begin this Saturday night at the famous Prairie City OHV Park stadium of Sacramento, California and this tournament will mark the beginning of the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The top riders of team GEICO Honda viz. Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac, Wil Hahn and Justin Bogle have headed towards the western part of the country for the opening match of the Lucas Oil Pro MX Championship this weekend at the Hangtown Nationals. All the GEICO Honda riders are excited to be a part of this summer bonanza and they can’t wait to hit the race track.

Team GEICO HondaEli Tomac said, “I can’t wait to get started at Hangtown and I’m very much looking forward to it. I was very lucky to get a win at Hangtown in 2010 during my first ever race as a pro racer. The previous season wasn’t that good for me but I somehow managed to secure a fourth spot finishing.” The GEICO Honda team had a highly successful season at the supercross series and they would be expecting the same results from the outdoor seasons too. Justin Barcia, the supercross east lites class champion, is extremely excited about the outdoor season and is fully fit to take on the 12-round motocross series. Barcia had an average motocross season last year as he wasn’t completely fit during that season. But luckily in this season, he is completely fit and healthy for the series.

The 2012 Motocross season means a lot for Wil Hahn and Justin Bogle because they didn’t have a good supercross season this year and will be hoping to make a great comeback at the outdoor season. They suffered crashes during the early stages of supercross series and could ever return back in that championship. Hopefully, they will be able to leave all those bad memories beside and will go ahead to gain back their lost momentum in the race track and will produce some quality racing moments.

The practice session at Hangtown Nationals will begin this Saturday morning from 8:30am PDT while the opening ceremony will commence from 12:40pm. The first motos event will be telecasted LIVE on FUEL TV from 4pm EDT while the second motos will be aired LIVE on NBC Sports starting from 12:30am EDT on Sunday.
