While the motorcycle racing fans are eagerly waiting for the 2012 AMA Motocross Championship to begin, they have been greeted with a superb announcement recently made by the ace racer, James Stewart. James Stewart of team JGRMX Toyota has recently confirmed on his Twitter account that he will race at the 2012 season of the Motocross championship. The opening match of the Motocross tournament will be played at Hangtown on 19th May, 2012 and Stewart has affirmed his numerous fans that he will race in the season opener.
In the 2012 AMA Supercross Series, James Stewart had a great run during the entire first phase of the season. Unfortunately during the Supercross match at Houston, Stewart had a pretty bad crash and had some severe injuries on his hands, ribs and legs. He also fractured his wrist bone. He has been recovering well and is completely fit now. James Stewart has been practicing extremely hard for his comeback in the Motocross championship and will try his level best to gain his momentum on the race track. Nevertheless, his fans will be gearing up for some spectacular racing moments from their favorite rider.
On his Twitter account, James Stewart recently posted a pic of himself working out in a gym. He was seen wearing cycling gears and seemed to be working hard for the tough upcoming outdoor season. Just below the pic, Stewart tweeted, “Looking forward to see my fans at Houston opener. Stay tuned for more news.” This twit got numerous replies within a day. This shows how eagerly his fans are waiting for his much anticipated return to the racing arena.
Though dirt bike racing fans are excited about Stewart’s comeback in the 2012 Motocross championship, they were disheartened when it was confirmed by the Kawasaki racing team that their ace rider, Ryan Villopoto will have to undergo a knee surgery this week to treat his fractured knee and will not defend his Motocross title this season. Villopoto will need time to recover completely and become fully fit. Villopoto, the 2011 Supercross winner, has already clinched the 2012 Supercross title making it two in a row. With Villopoto, the 2011 Motocross champion not defending his title this season, it might make Stewart’s life little easy. No wonder the fans are expecting Stewart to capture the 2012 Motocross title.
Don’t miss action from Hangtown opener on 19th May, 2012 as you will get to see Stewart making a comeback, riding on his Yamaha YZ450F bike after a long time since Houston.
