Ever since the outdoor season of the dirt bike racing began this May, the Honda racing team has been on top of its game. In the ongoing 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, the ace riders of the Honda racing team have been able to acquire several victories in both the 250cc and 450cc Class matches. No wonder the team is ecstatic and aiming high this season. Recently, the team inaugurated the Honda X-treme Academy training program which went down successfully. The Honda World MX team recently announced that Rui Gonçalves and Evgeny Bobryshev will be present at the Honda X-treme Academy training program. The program is free to attend for all Honda riders less than 23 years and it would be held at the renowned Honda Park of Belgium on 14th June, 2012 just before the Grand Prix of Bastogne.
At this event, Gonçalves and Bobryshev, the MX1 World pro riders, will be accompanied by Jonathan Barragan of team LS Honda Racing. The program organized by the Honda X-treme Academy is an initiative to bring forward and help the young and talented riders. The training will be imparted by Brian Jorgensen, the official trainer of the Honda X-treme Academy and also the former Grand Prix winner. Ever since his retirement from racing, Brian has been continuously working with the talented young riders of Europe. Young Honda riders who wish to attend this event will have to register by email at timmy.smets@honda-eu.com. The program includes one day rigorous training with Honda’s trainers and the pro racers. This training is open to only those who are under 23 years of age and ride Honda bikes.
During the event, officials from Dunlop will also be present on the site along with numerous Honda bikes to exhibit their wide range of MX11 sand tyres. The journalists too will be allotted several bikes to test the brand new tyres from Dunlop at the sandy race track of Balen, Belgium. The event will also mark the commencement of the Belgian Grand Prix at Bastogne. The young riders will also be accompanied by the technicians of the LS Honda and Honda World MX Racing teams. They will also be present there for interview session.
The robust and modern MX11 tyres from Dunlop are an outcome of the rigorous development undertaken by Dunlop since the past few months with the help of the Honda MX1 racing teams. These exceptional tyres have been created specifically for providing superb grip in the sandy conditions of Belgium.
