Jessica Patterson Wins 2012 Pennsylvania WMX Match

The fourth Women’s Motocross Championship match of this season was held last weekend during the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA pro Motocross Championship round at the High Point Raceway ofMount Morris, SouthPennsylvania. The WMX match saw some fierce battles between Jessica Patterson of team Rockstar Energy Racing Suzuki and TarahGieger of team Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil Honda. At the end, Patterson emerged out as the winner of the WMX match with a score of 2-1 in the moto matches. Gieger finished at an overall second position with a score of 1-5 while Honda’s SayakaKaneshirofinished third with a 5-2 score.

The famous High Point Raceway located in Mount Morris, Southern Pennsylvania was the host to the fourth match of the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA pro Motocross Championship last Saturday night. Similar to the previous three matches held so far in this outdoor season of extreme dirt bike racing, the fourth match too got carried off in an extravagant manner. The match ran completely houseful and the atmosphere in the entire stadium was completely electric. Thousands of dirt bike racing fans gathered together to witness some spectacular racing performances and they were not disappointed at all. In all the three categories of matches viz. the 450cc class match, the 250cc lites class match and the 2012 Women’s Motocross Championship match, the top riders from the different racing teams went on to deliver some amazing performances and mesmerized the fans with some sheer racing talent.

In the 2012 Women’s Motocross Championship match at Mt. Morris, Jessica Patterson of team Rockstar Energy Racing Suzuki was dominating throughout the event and finally emerged out as the winner in the match. Jessica has been able to maintain a superb momentum in this season right from the opening match at Hangtown and she seems to be getting even better as the championship heads forward. In the first moto match, Jessica went on to attain a good start but could really capitalize in it. Though she made some quick passes before the finishing of the match, she could only manage to finish second in moto-I. TarahGieger of team Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil Honda was the winner of the moto-I race while Honda’s KasieCreson finished third in the race.

In the second moto match, she was again able to gather an amazing start to her match and acquired great speed too.  The rider from Tallahassee, Florida quickly gained the lead in the match. Jessica then had to face a fierce battle from TarahGieger. On several occasions, TarahGieger seemed to get an inch better than that of Jessica but could really pose any serious threat to her. While Jessica went on to acquire the checkers, Giegermade some mistakes and finally finished the race at the fifth position. With a score of 2-1, Jessica Pattersonwas awarded an overall first position in the event. Gieger gained an overall second position in the event with a score of 1-5. Honda’s SayakaKaneshiro was declared the overall third position holder with a score of 5-2 in the match.
