The main event of the Supercross Lites Class series took off when Darryn Durham of team Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki quickly acquired the Nuclear Cowboyz Holeshot riding on the rear wheel of his Kawasaki bike in the first turn. He was accompanied by Blake Wharton of team Rockstar Energy Racing. While Wharton was charging after Darryn Durham to overtake him and gain the lead, Wharton crashed badly just before his take-off from the triple position of the race track. Justin Bogle, who was riding behind Wharton, gained on the advantage and quickly moved into the second position. However, Bogle could not maintain the position for long and was overtaken by defending champion Justin Barcia in the third lap.

On the sixth lap, Durham and Barcia exchanged positions with Durham being in the lead. On the same lap itself, Justin Bogle and Barcia exchanged positions too. Barcia kept fighting at the second spot for the next two laps until he went pass Durham in the eight lap of the match. After gaining the lead, Barcia never looked back and kept the momentum going until he acquired the checkers at the finishing line.

On the tenth lap, Ken Roczen of team Red Bull KTM showed some great skills to go pass Bogle. Finally, Roczen could hold on to lead and secured the third position in the race just after Durham. While Barcia was the winner, Durham came second. Malcolm Stewart of team JDR/JStar/KTM tried to overtake Bogle but managed only to crash with him. This crash made both the riders to lose some valuable positions.
