While the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship is heading towards the High Point National stadium of Mount Morris, PA., for the fourth outdoor racing event this weekend, it’s worth to have a look at the current Motocross standings after the Denver match. In the 450cc Class category, Ryan Dungey of team Red Bull KTM is at the top of the points table with 136 points under his belt while in the 250cc lites Class category, Blake Baggett of Kawasaki racing team is leading the points table with 139 points.
The High Point National stadium located at Mount Morris, PA., is getting ready to host the fourth round of the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Event. The match will be played this upcoming Saturday night i.e. on the 9th of June, 2012. All the match tickets are already sold out well in advance and the event is expected to run full houses. A swarm of dirt bike racing fans is expected to turn up this weekend at the High Point National stadium. So far, this season of the outdoor racing has been able to yield desired results much more than anticipated and it’s expected to further heighten the momentum. While championship heads for its next match, it’s worth to have a look at the current Motocross standings in both the 450cc and 250cc lites Class categories.
Beginning with the 450cc Class category, we saw several ups and downs in the point’s standings after the completion of the Denver Motocross event. Currently, Ryan Dungey of team Red Bull KTM is at the top of the points table with 136 points under his belt. He acquired the top position courtesy of a valiant performance at the Denver Motocross race. At Denver, he was able to register victories in both the moto matches and thereby was adjudged the overall winner of the 450cc Class category. He now has a handsome lead of 35 points over Jake Weimer of team Kawasaki who is residing at the second position with 101 points.
Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart had a very firm position in the standings prior to the Denver match. At Denver, Stewart suffered a crash during the early moments of the match and incurred some injuries. He was taken out of the racing arena and couldn’t make a comeback that night. Stewart then lost several points and came down to the third position with 100 points under him.
Moving on to the 250cc litesClass category, Blake Baggett of Kawasaki racing team is at the leading position of the points tally with 139 points. At Denver, Baggett finished 3rd and 1st in the moto-I and moto-II races respectively and acquired an overall second position. Justin Barcia of team GEICO Honda is at the second position with 123 points. Ken Roczen of team Red Bull KTM is closely following Barcia in the points table. Roczen is just 3 points behind Barcia with 120 points under his belt. Barcia’s teammate, Eli Tomac is at the fourth position with 117 points while Marvin Musquin of Red Bull KTM is at the fifth position with 84 points.
