The 15th match of the 2012 AMA Supercross series will be played at the CenturyLink Field stadium of Seattle on this Saturday. Though Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto has already captured the 2012 AMA Supercross title, it would be interesting to see who ends up at the second and third positions in the podium. Davi Millsaps, Justin Brayton and Ryan Dungey are expected to get involved in a fierce battle at Seattle for climbing up in the points table.
After the successful completion of the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites Class series last weekend at New Orleans, the series headed back to the western part of the country for the 15th round of the 2012 AMA Supercross series. The upcoming match will be played next Saturday at the famous CenturyLink Field stadium of Seattle. While the winner of the Supercross Lites East class series has already been decided at New Orleans last Saturday, it would be interesting to some tight matches again in the West Lites class series. GEICO Honda’s Justin Barcia dominated the entire East Lites class season and registered his second consecutive title win in the series.
At Seattle, we expect another awesome performance from Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto as it is also his home ground. A Supercross match at Seattle always turns out to be a wild card. The climate generally remains Brisk and the race track can be tricky on certain occasions. The soil of the race track is pretty tough and solid in nature. Everything on the track gets deeply rutted. The weather department predicted that it is going to rain this weekend at Seattle. If it rains, then the race track will become very muddy and will create difficulties for the riders.
As it is already decided that Ryan Villopoto is going to lift the AMA Supercross title for the second consecutive time and would be standing on the first position in the podium, it would be interesting to see who ends up beside him at the second and third positions specially when James Stewart and Kevin Windham are out of this season. In the current Supercross standings, Villopoto leads the chart with 321 points and just behind him is team Yamaha’s Davi Millsaps with 206 points. Honda’s Justin Brayton is at the third spot with 201 points, just 5 points behind Millsaps. Ryan Dungey too is in a tow to retain his long lost second position in the points tally. They are expected to get involved in a fierce battle in the upcoming match to climb up in the supercross standings. After all, the real race which we are going to see in the remaining matches of this season is the struggle for acquiring the second and third positions.
Don’t miss out the action packed racing event from the CenturyLink Field, Seattle on the night of 21st April, 2012. The match will commence from 7 p.m. and will be telecasted LIVE on SPEED TV channel.
