2012 Amateur Supercross Series at DaytonaThe Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross championship provides a great opportunity to the non-pro racers to show their caliber on a real supercross race track. It’s very amazing to see that such a legend of the racing arena, Ricky Carmichael, has associated his name and his brand too for supporting this amazing event. Carmichael, who has been the champion of the AMA Motocross series and the Supercross series for massive fifteen times in the past, has added great enthusiasm and passion into this tournament. His presence makes the atmosphere as electric as he used to do while actually competing.  He not only designed the racecourse, but also took part in several activities and also represented the crew of the SPEED TV during the practice session of the AMA Supercross on last Saturday afternoon.

During the Live telecast of the Supercross match on SPEED TV, Ricky Carmichael was the guest commentator. Later that evening, Ricky was found researching and planning several changes and tweaks in the race track especially for the amateur racers. He was accompanied by an expert crew of the race track which included famous race course builders like Glenn Bates, Don Flaner and Mark "Bomber" Barnett. It’s noteworthy the Barnett himself was former champion of the AMA Supercross Championship.

In spite of heavy rainfall on Saturday, the race track was prepared well for the amateur supercross series. The spectacular work of the crew helped in successfully hosting the two-day series. To make the race comfortable, the ground support staff toned down some of the larger jumps of the race track. This also helped in maintaining a safer environment for the different classes of race to be held there.
