Round 2 of 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship

Freestone, Texas hosted the second round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship last weekend. It was an amazing outdoor racing event, which saw some nail-biting moments and some high voltage drama too. In the 450cc Class match, James Stewart was victorious whereas in the 250cc Class match, Eli Tomac walked away with the victory.

The second round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship was held last Saturday night at Freestone, Texas. Similar to the opening match of this outdoor dirt bike racing season, the second match too went down in a superb manner. The tickets were completely sold out and the stadium ran full houses. The entire atmosphere in the stadium was electrifying and the fans seemed to enjoy a lot witnessing some amazing racing performances. All the racing events in the second round yielded some amazing performances from some of the top dirt bike riders of the world. All the moto matches in both the 450cc and 250cc Classes too, saw some scintillating performances. The crowd delivered exactly what they wished for while coming for this event.

In the 450cc Class match, a valiant racing battle got kicked off between two highly reputed and experienced riders, Ryan Dungey and James Stewart. Both these riders rode neck-to-neck and displayed some amazing racing talents. On several occasions, the battle turned furious too but in the end, James Stewart was able to walk away with the victories in both the moto matches. Meanwhile in the 250cc class match, Eli Tomac showed us that he has learned a lot from his previous failures at Freestone and has gathered immense experience too. Eli registered convincing victories in both the moto matches without giving any chance to any other rider to hover near him. Throughout both the moto matches, Eli looked untouchable on the racetrack and delivered some amazing high flying stunts too.

In the current Motocross standings of this season, James Stewart has climbed up to the top of the table in the 450cc Class standings courtesy of his amazing victories at Freestone. Ryan Dungey is at the second spot closely following Stewart. In the 250cc Class standings, Blake Baggett continues to rule the charts despite of an average performance at Freestone. Ken roczen is at the second position whereas, victories at Freestone has brought Tomac up at the third position in the points table.

In the 450cc Class match, Ryan Dungey gained an overall second position on account of his two second spot finishes in both the motos. Mike Alessi gained an overall third position by finishing fifth in moto-I and third in moto-II. In the 250cc Class match, Blake Baggett acquired on overall second position on account of his two second spot finishes in both the motos. Ken Roczen acquired an overall third position by finishing third in moto-I and fourth in moto-II.
