The 2010 Motocross title winner will try his level best to deliver yet another amazing performance at Budds Creek and strengthen his lead in the 2012 Motocross standings.

Riding high on his two back to back victories in the 450cc Class category of Motocross Championship Ryan Dungey of team Red Bull KTM seems to be eyeing on registering his third consecutive victory in the upcoming fifth round of the 2012 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship this Saturday night at the famous Budds Creek Motocross Park of Southern Maryland, Mechanicsville. Having scoring two consecutive wins in two straight matches, there’s no doubt that Dungey is currently oozing with confidence. What further boosts his confidence is the fact that Dungey still holds the leading position in the current 450cc Class Motocross standings with 186 points under his belt. Moreover, similar to the previous few matches, Dungey will be seen riding with the famous Red plate attached behind his bike at the Red Bull Budds Creek National too.

Last weekend during the High Point National at Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, Dungey was able to extend his winning streak in this moto matches to four. These factors will definitely help him bring in much momentum during his race at Budds Creek this weekend. At the High Point National, Dungey’s victory marked the 16th premier class victory of his career. Currently, Dungey is at a tie for the sixth position with the legendary rider, Jeff Emig for the all-time winners list. But this achievement wasn’t that easy to achieve. Ryan Dungey, who was also the champion of the 2010 AMA pro Motocross Championship, had to fight some tough battles this season with some of the top riders of the world specially Mike Alessi of team MotoConcepts Suzuki. In almost all the four consecutive moto matches which Dungey won, Alessi was the one who was always leading the race in all four of them until making some mistakes on his own and losing his lead to Dungeyin each case. Alessi too has performed superbly in this entire season of outdoor dirt bike racing so far.

What’s even more special about Dungey’s performance in this season so far is the fact that he is the only rider who has appeared at the race podium of each and every moto match of this Motocross season. Right from the season opener at Hangtown, Dungey has been able to acquire a podium position in every moto match till date. Dungey was seen practicing very hard during the practice sessions at Budds Creek. No doubt that he will try his level best to score his third straight win this weekend and a victory at Budds Creek will also help him register his career’s second victory at Budds Creek National.
