The second round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship was held last weekend at the famous Freestone Raceway located in Wortham, Texas. Throughout the event, the Honda racing team seemed to dominate the racing arena. In the 250cc Class match, Eli Tomac of team GEICO Honda came out as the winner while in the 2012 Women’s Motocross Championship, Honda’s Ashley Fiolek delivered an impressive run to clinch the victory.
In the second round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship which was held last weekend at the famous Freestone Raceway located in Wortham, Texas, the riders of team Honda dominated the entire racing arena. The Honda riders dressed in Red jersey were seen over the round two of the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro MX Championship and the 2012 Women’s Motocross Championship. In the 250cc Class racing event, Eli Tomac of team GEICO Honda dominated throughout both the moto races and finally walked out as the overall winner while in the Women’s Motocross Championship, Honda’s Ashley Fiolek delivered some amazing performance to register a thrilling win in the event. Riding on her factory built CRF250R bike, she scored her first win in this season of outdoor dirt bike racing.
In the main event of the 250cc Class match, Eli Tomac of team GEICO Honda was impressive with his riding throughout the night. Riding on his factory built CRF250R bike, he registered victories in both the moto matches and thereby claiming the overall first position. In both the moto matches, Tomac was able to get off to an amazing start and acquired good speed too. Throughout the match, he was able to maintain a healthy distance from his competitors and seemed completely untouchable on the race track. While Tomac emerged out as the winner, his teammate, Justin Barcia was able to gather a respectable position in the top five of the event. Barcia had an average night at the race track of Freestone Raceway. He finished fourth in the moto-I race and fifth in the moto-II race. He gained an overall fifth position in the event.
Meanwhile in the second round of the 2012 Women’s Motocross Championship, Honda’s Ashley Fiolek got herself placed on the top of the race podium by virtue of some amazing display of racing talents. In the moto-I race Fiolek went off to a great start and acquired the holeshot award in no time. She was riding well and made some quick passes over her competitors. She finally finished moto-I at the second place. In the moto-II race, she was even better than that of the moto-I race. She once again had a superb kickoff to the race and was again able to acquire the holeshot award for the second consecutive time. She then gained high speed and cruised to victory in moto-II maintaining an impressive lead over others. She then acquired an overall first position in the event.
