The eighth match of the 2012 AMA Supercross series, a part of the FIM World Championship was conducted last Saturday night at the famous Georgia Dome of Atlanta. It was a cracker of a match and was attended by a sold-out audience of approximately 70000. Riders of team Honda racing team pulled off some amazing performances for their team at the Atlanta race. Justin Brayton of team Honda Muscle Milk showed great efforts and secured the fifth position in the race.

On the other hand, the replacement racer Cole Seely pulled off a sixth position finishing in the main event of the Supercross race. Seely was roped in by team Honda as a substitute rider for their injured Trey Canard. During the match at Phoenix, Canard had a pretty bad crash which made him incur some severe injuries and because of that, he is out of the league for some time. Honda’s collaboration with Seely has always been successful and in this season too, he is living up to the expectations.

Meanwhile, Justin Barcia of team GEICO Honda seems to be untouchable in the Eastern Lites class series. At Atlanta, the second match of the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites Class series of this season was conducted at Atlanta last weekend. After winning the regional opener match, Barcia again walked away with the victory in the second match too. Thus, he registered two consecutive wins while Justin Bogle, his teammate, finished third in the race.

The match at Atlanta was a very special one for Kevin Windham of team GEICO Honda. It was the 200th Supercross Class race for the rider and was also an important milestone in his Supercross career. During the race, Kevin Windham was very impressive and was riding at a great speed. He delivered some nail-biting moments. He finished fifth in his qualifying race and was finally able to walk away with the fourth position in the heat race. Unfortunately, Kevin Windham had a poor start in the main event and this caused him to lose several positions in the race. He rode a noteworthy race, making his way up to eighth place.

Justin Barcia, who currently leads the points table of the Eastern Regional Supercross Lites Class series, is also the defending champion of the title. He made two back-to-back appearances at the podium in this season so far. Barcia had an amazing start and finished second in his qualifying round.
